Pulse — AI Status Digests for Jira

The weekly status update writes itself.

On the days you choose, Pulse reads your Jira projects and writes the status update a strong product lead would write: a prose TL;DR over scannable progress, blocker, and scope bullets, with a portfolio rollup, cross-project dependency detection, and a by-the-numbers appendix — delivered to Slack, Microsoft Teams, or email, good enough to forward to an executive without editing.

Get it on the Atlassian Marketplace

Get started (under 5 minutes)

  1. Install Pulse from the Atlassian Marketplace on your Jira Cloud site.
  2. Open Jira Settings → Apps → Pulse. The 3-step checklist walks you through it.
  3. Pick your projects (up to 20), the days and time you want digests, and at least one channel (Slack webhook, Teams webhook, or email recipients).
  4. Hit Send test digest now — your first digest arrives in about a minute.

What Pulse does

Every digest is built from what's actually in Jira — never invented:

  1. A narrative you can forward — TL;DR, progress, risks & blockers, what's next. Written like a senior PM, guarded against fabrication and issue-key dumps.
  2. Portfolio rollup — one summary across your pods, with cross-project dependencies called out ("KAN-7 is blocked by PLS-9") and the decisions leadership needs to make.
  3. By the numbers — story points done vs open, per-person contribution, epic progress, and a timeline — computed from Jira data, never by the AI.
  4. Health trends and suggested actions — ▲/▼ trajectory per pod week over week, and a concrete next step on every blocked or overdue ticket.
  5. The Pulse Hub — an interactive page in Jira with the 30-second read on top: TL;DR, decisions needed, health, and what to chase today.

FAQ

Does my team have to change how they work? No. Pulse reads what's already in Jira — no standup prompts, no forms, no templates.

What data leaves my site? Issue summaries, statuses, dates, and sprint metadata for the projects you select are sent to Anthropic's API to write the digest; the finished digest goes to the channels you configure. Comments, descriptions, and Confluence excerpts are read only if an admin opts in. Full details: privacy & data handling.

Where do I see digests inside Jira? The Pulse Hub (Apps → Pulse) shows the latest portfolio view with health, trends, and per-project detail; every project also has a Pulse Digest page.

Something broke? Set a failure-alert email in the admin page and Pulse tells you when a scheduled run fails. For anything else: email support — we respond within 48 hours.
